About the Layout and
Website -
This whole website is based on my layout, the Logan
Southern. The
owner is Railmaster
or others may know me as Chris Burchett. The layout is HO scale (12'x16'; soon to
be 16'x24') and this website was created to show the layout from a real-life standpoint.
All characters within all press releases are just that - characters.
If any one of
these characters are real (living or dead), it is purely by coincidence. The
town of Mingo is not the actual town
located in Ohio.
Only one section of the whole system is operational. That is the Hocking Division.
Only five locomotives are in the LSRS paint scheme, which was
created by myself, but more and more are scheduled to be put in the
"paint shop."
Train symbols are used and the LSRS has numerous rosters (i.e. -
locomotive, car, etc.). The railroad is, however, a member of
Appalachian Rail Cooperative. Please, e-mail me
to let me know what you think about this site, or if you find any
errors!! Thank you for visiting, and please,
come back again (and tell your friends)!
About the Owner -
I'm 16 years old, a member
of the Teen
Association of Model Railroaders (TAMR), as well as President of the TAMR.
I also own an N scale layout (2½' x 4') named the Central Belt
Line, which was donated to me by a local club that folded in early 1999.
I enjoy building websites, and I have built and maintained many,
including Pennsy Under the Wires,
Penn Central
Trans. Co., Hocking
Valley Railway Historical Website, and others besides my
own.
I enjoy painting my own locomotives and rolling stock (you have
to when you own a free-lance railroad that doesn't exist anywhere
else!), and have even taken on the interesting task of scratchbuilding (just
starting).
I also enjoy taking videos, and am active in the
TAMR Video
Exchange. I've recently put the video camera on the shelf for a little bit
so I can partake of some still shots.
I volunteer my Saturdays at the
Hocking
Valley Scenic Railway (yes, a
REAL
scenic railway). I'm usually taking tickets, helping people on
and off the trains, among other things. Currently, they are shut down for the
winter. They will start back up during Memorial Day weekend.
